Sunday Best and more

There are a plethora of Mr Blind Pig gigs coming up including Sunday Best at Oakford Social Club, the all day event in Reading is a highlight of the next month's gigs with half of the Thou Shalt Always Kill duo, Dan Le Sac and fellow Sunday Best Records artist Kid Carpet and his kiddy disco punk infused pop.

Dan Le Sac returns to his Reading roots, for a surprise one off show after storming the charts with Thou Shalt Always Kill from the Dan Le Sac vs Scroobious Pip collaboration. The song quickly became one of the hottest music downloads around shooting up the charts and being named as NME's track of the week (despite the lyrics 'Thou Shalt Not Read NME').

Kid Carpet made his live debut at Bristol's Watershed Media Centre in May 2003 and has since toured with well-known acts including Willy Mason, Badly Drawn Boy, Mylo, The Go! Team, Arcade Fire, Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip and The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players, his music has been described as 'kiddy disco punk' and 'shit-hop', as it is recorded in his home studio using instruments such as samplers, Casio keyboards, and various children's toys including plastic Fisher-Price guitarsand Tamagotchi innards.

If that's not enough for you there's also South African electro hip hop team Playdoe, flying over for a fleeting visit to the UK, (catch them while you can) modern Jazz breakbeaters OM Corporation bring their EST exited jazz, some pop decadence from King Oliver, and a Live stage performance of highly anticipated new Romantic Comedy from Tate Modern exhibiting director Ian Manson, Skinny Buddha. A contender for the best Sunday you could have!

Here's what else Mr Blind Pig has in store for you in the next month or so...
