Rogues all ages show
Black and White promotions have decided the kids are alright by presenting a very special 14+ gig night headlined by new NME starlets, Rogues on Saturday 4 April.
Those over 18 are still welcome but they'll need some proof of age to unlock the wonders of a fully stocked liquor cabinet!
Rogues
Fresh from causing an earthquake on the NME Shockwaves tour alongside Iglu and Hartly and the release of indie smash single 'Not So Pretty' on March 12, Rogues bring some desirable indie cool to Reading.
A coveted Radio 1 session for Steve Lamaq proves their pedigree and fans of Foals, MGMT anddare we say The Lost Boys - for those of who can claim to be children of the 80s - are in for a real treat.
Support comes in the form of...
Midi Midis
It's like Nintendo: The Soundtrack featuring Bohemian inspired dark matter vocals orchestrated by two brothers-in-law from Reading who must drive their wives insane experimenting with retro games consoles and scuzzy guitars. The Midi Midis have a habit of playing guerilla gigs and house parties - so permission to be smug after tracking them down and booking them for an actual proper gig. Championed by XFM's Eddy Temple Morris, Radio 1's Huw Stephens and BBC 6 Music's Tom Robinson, get behind some real local talent now.
Deadbells
We're not sure if this Leeds four piece have ever stepped outside their city walls to play a gig but we're chuffed they've agreed to play Reading and we think it might have something to do with their love for local boys Cooper Temple Clause. Deadbells' product is altogether far funkier however, so get your groove on party people, grab a partner and shuffle forward to the front of the stage for some indie swing.
The Good Natured
When inviting new friends of a potentially tender age into the Plug n Play fold we felt it was important to open proceedings with something warm and inviting. The Good Natured are the musical equivalent of sipping hot cocoa with marshmallows on top in the forests of Narnia. Fronted by local lass Sarah McIntosh - who sounds like Kate Nash with the lyrical prowess of Laura Marling - The Guardian, Sunday Times and 4Music are fans and so are we.
