To The Bones in Reading
Black and White Promotions bring some rock to proceedings at Plug n Play on 23 April with Bolton's To The Bones headlining.
Here's what they've got to say about the gig...
Lace up your DM’s and wedge your ear plugs in, as Black and White turns the volume up to LOUD for a heavy rocking night at Plug n Play. Tearing their way down the M6 from their native Bolton, To The Bones play it hard and dirty; having learnt from the masters - The Trotters every fortnight at The Reebok…
To The Bones
To The Bones are essential. The four-piece play a feral mix of riffs and melody; imagine the Pixies tackling QOTSA/Motorhead and you're along the right lines. Vocalist Rhys.G.Bradley possesses the most glorious guttural growl since Kurt Cobain shredded this larynx for our listening pleasure.
Their first single Rex; a hypnotic, mesmerising blend of crushing riffs and tribal, chanted melody received airplay from Zane Lowe and Bruce Dickinson at the BBC and the boys were invited to record an XFM session for John Kennedy.
Their debut album Duke Type A has received glorious reviews; 7/10 NME, 8/10 Rocksound, and 4/5 The Fly – from out of nowhere a fearsome new force in rock had appeared.
"Manchester quartet 'To The Bones' make guttural, feral fury-rock and their debut single is a ferocious blast of QOTSA-esque roariness" - The Fly
"Their last single's video featured the band in various states of torture dripping with fake blood. It's an 18 rated masterclass in softcore gore that befits their psycho-Stooges roar... Don't mess with To The Bones or they might just break yours." - NME
"To The Bones move with the force and efficiency of a machine. They make one hell of a racket, but it's nearly always melodic, the songs brutally concise" - The Guardian
