The Brownies bring their “sexed up fight pop” (NME) to Reading. 3 girls, 2 boys; The Guardian love them, Radio 1 love them, Artrocker love them, declaring that “anyone missing BeYourOwnPet should get extremely excited”. We love them. They’ve just finished recording with Andy Gill from Gang of Four, and they’re really rather ace.
We also have Reading’s own Circus Sands. Their sexy, fuzzed up rock&roll is setting tongues wagging both here and further afield…
