Hockey time

Black and White have major league pun-tempters Hockey playing live at Plug n Play in Reading on 11 May.

Here's what they say about the gig...

Hockey

A band with Soul. A band with Groove. Hot hot property from the US of A, their latest single 'Too Fake' is bouncing all over your radio airwaves and causing a right old euphoric knees up on the indie dancefloor.  Hitting Reading off the back of a UK tour with Friendly Fires and en-route to Brighton's Great Escape new music festival.

Flashguns

With a name that describes an instantaneous action, one that's over in less than a blink of any eye it's probably not the best way for this affable bunch of Brighton teenagers to describe their sounds.  But maybe that's the irony - these guys have BIG ambitions. Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson are all fans of Flashguns, who have only just finished their A-levels and are putting off University in favour of impending rock stardom.

The Quotes

Reading pop heartthrobs The Quotes open the show following their first full album self release last September which coincided with a sold out launch gig at 21 South Street.  Drawing influences from The Beatles and The Who to the more recent Red Hot Chili Peppers and Kings of Leon, the boys will get Plug n Play bouncing from the off, so get yourself down early and banging on the venue door.
