Motown Stars Come To The Hexagon

On Wednesday 20 May The Hexagon welcomes 'How Sweet It Is', a fantastic show featuring the all-time greatest hits of Motown legends The Four Tops and The Temptations.

The show celebrates and recreates the stunning sounds that originated in Detroit in the 1950's and takes you on a musical journey through the golden Tamla Motown days of the 60's and 70's.

The Four Tops and The Temptations are two of the most enduring and distinguished groups in popular music. The Tops' first performance was at a high school graduation party in 1954 and until recently the group still consisted of the original four members.

The two hour spectacular includes a large dose of both groups' UK Hits: 'Reach Out I'll Be There', 'Walk Away Renee', 'Bernadette', 'Going Loco in Acapulco' and 'My Girl' to name but a few, plus hits from other famous artists of the era such as Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, The Isley Brothers and The Jacksons.

How Sweet It Is are backed and supported by The Peter Brent Orchestra, a fantastic 8-piece band including a 4-piece horn section all under the musical direction of Mr Peter Brent.
