Reading on Fire July
Local heroes Tripwires play a homecoming show on Saturday 11 July at Plug n Play supported by the cream of Reading's new wave of indie
Championed by Huw Stephens, Tom Robinson, XFM and Steve Lamacq, Tripwires are a must see. Think Interpol/The Cure/Biffy
They are supported by The Wookies, Reading's answer to Pink Floyd, if they were fronted by Rick Wakeman.
Jets Against Giants are described by Velocity Recordings as "like munching disco biscuits, whilst drinking brandy. Best new local band in Reading who have played less than five gigs".
Opening the night are Johnny Arrow and the Cheap Day Returns, who bring melodic wit and indie pop guitars to the table.
