Reading on Fire

Club V bring us a doubledotdash?! themed night on the 12 September at Plug n Play

Here's what Club Velocity have to say about the impending madness

Hunting The Shy

Last seen in Reading supporting Jeffrey Lewis. They did not used to have a proper drummer, but employed a drum machine and they sounded like Spacemen 3. They now have a drummer and sound like Sonic Youth on cough medicine.

Tilehurst Children's Arkestra

Super uber-cool band alert! They are from Tilehurst! The best band to come out of said borough since The Pin Ups. Joe Meek is God and the Prime Minster in our house, the ghost of Joe is fighting to get into Tilehurst Childrens Arkestra. A great and very different Reading band.

The Black Heart Orchestra

Raving, roaring, rucking six piece band from Tadley. They sound like they have eaten the whole Touch and Go back catalogue and are throwing it back up at us. Think Jesus Lizard having a picnic with the Bad Seeds, or Henry Rollins taking your mother to the Church of Hell on a Sunday Morning.

Wonderful World of Cactapuss

They spend far too much time locked away in their studio in deepest rural Berkshire. They are coming out for a breather to make a rare live outing, sounding like no other band on planet Earth. Imagine World of The Worlds having a punch up with Daft Punk
