Club Velocity

Club Velocity love the Rising Sun Arts Centre. They really love it. Their next show there is on 17 October. Here's the details

Skyline Dossier
Reading's best kept secret - wonderful old-school flavoured psych-freakbeat-prog.
Dan their lead singer is a complete star in the live arena, like a local Frank Black. A
band who stick up two fingers up at fashion.

Hold Your Horse Is
This three-piece hail from Fleet. They've been recording with Gordon Mills (of Keane fame) but don't let that put you off. These kids are full on rock, with a punk coating. Championed by Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson

"Spiky three-piece who jerk their guitar riffs around like an epileptic at the Blackpool illuminations."
- Tastyfanzine.

"Hold Your Horse Is! ... thrashing their guitars like a mad axe man who has got out of bed, on the wrong side!'"
- Steve Lamacq of BBC Radio 1.

Marty Cain
Discovered via myspace, Marty deals in naive-real folk punk. He sings about 1 Jan; you screwing up his dream; your heart is in his lunch box. Marty Cain is from the middle of nowhere of the USA. He is currently studying in London and we think he should be bigger than Beck
