Amy's Ghost Launch Party
Everybody loves Amy's Ghost. Don't they? Surely they're one of the most likable acts in Reading at the moment. The enigmatic five-piece are celebrating the release of their first single 'Lullaby' on Friday 6 November with a big ol' knees up at Global Café
Josaka will be reviewing the release in the next few days, so keep an eye out for that, but apparently, the debut single Lullaby is an upbeat, feisty masterpiece.
Amy's Ghost is not the kind of band that can be easily pigeon holed but have been compared to likes of Bat for Lashes, Cat Power and Florence and the Machine. Lullaby is an essential introduction to where the band are heading. Lullaby will be followed by the album - Dance of Defeat in May next year.
The party has a great line, up, with support from Silver Pulsars and the ever-present Elliot to Hong Kong, but the night is all about Amy's Ghost
