This week it is the choice of drummer and vocalist Alex. He has chosen Primary Colours by The Horrors. The album was released on 4th May 2009 and charted at number 25 in the UK Album Chart. It was also shortlisted for the Mercury Music Prize in 2009.

We recommend giving each album 3 listens in order to begin to understand the piece of work on the whole. Here is some information about the band behind Album Club...

Golden Hours are a band from Reading in Berkshire. They were formed from the ashes of The Wookies and performed their first gig in early 2010. The members of the band started having an album of the week amongst themselves and when Josaka heard about it we thought it would be fun to join in. That's how this column started.
