Four by Four More EP
After an inaugural year that saw them conquer both national and international radio in three minute intervals - from BBC Radio 1 and 2 to KEXP in Seattle, as well as being the focus of a Radio 1 spotlight in the summer on Huw Stephens' Introducing show - Broken Tail Records have fast-established themselves as one of the UK's most promising DIY labels.
Teaming up with Reading indie label Josaka Music for their first release of 2008, the split EP Four By Four More spreads some of the UK's most exciting underground acts across four tracks.
Each act has a history of Radio 1 play, from Steve Lamacq faves To The Barricades to Glasgow's Projekt A-ko, formed from the ashes of cult Scottish lo-fi act Urusei Yatsura, leaving behind them years of major festival appearances, three critically-acclaimed albums and a top 40 single on the back of a John Peel session back in the day.
The EP features the promising Tripwires and also Reading's very own Ben Marwood.
