Monkeysuit July
This month the folks at Monkeysuit come bearing the gifts of Godwits, Smoke Fairies and Farewell Finito all at The Oakford Social Club on Sunday 13 July.
Godwits
A folk/rock band who demonstrate a sense of melody and song structure well beyond their young years. Since playing an outstanding show at Tony Wilson's In the City Festival last year. They've been turning heads, swelling hearts and creating quite a stir within the industry. The band have already performed at this year's Great Escape Festival and you can watch them here before they play Latitude Festival next week.
Smoke Fairies
Smoke Fairies are a female, blues/folk duo based in South London whose beautiful vocals and heartfelt lyrics can't help but capture your attention. They've performed gigs on both sides of Atlantic, played the Royal Festival Hall, Stag and Dagger and Zoo Thousand Festivals. Plus supported amongst others The Magic Numbers, Ed Harcourt and Bryan Ferry by his personal request.
Farewell Finito
We welcome Farewell Finito aka Dan Lomas for the first time this year and he will be performing an acoustic solo set. Where we feel it will demonstrate his fine song writing abilities and singing voice.
