Androgyny Velocity
Club Velocity have a Girl/Boy Revolution on their hands, I'm not sure what it means but I doubt the Republic of Silver Street will ever be the same again...
Most of the words here on in are not our own...
The Girl/Boy Revolution came to the Club Velocity team, whilst watching their local hero/god/friend Ben Marwood at a free (yawn) show. Marwood deserves better. It hit them like a lighting bolt. This ain't right. This ain't punk rock. Music is more than music. Punk is more than punk. It isn't just about consuming-it's about giving back!
The idea is set in Riot Girl/DIY/Punk rock-pro activity. It's about getting involved. It's about fun and being creative. It's about the fire in your soul and the thunder in your belly.
Calling all creative types. Film makers? Poets? Photo takers? Get involved. IT'S AN OPEN BOOK!
Three of our favourite new bands, will provide the soundtrack to the revolution. Young sexy, full of cum and ready to slay you and none of them smell of wee.
Sixty Watt Bayonets
Female fronted punk-roll greatness. Recently played on the world's biggest radio station in the KROQ in LA. Graced Larry Littles (ex Killers manager) sassy blog pages recently. Think Mavis Staples fronting Minor Threat.

MidiMidis
Taken the computer press by storm. Tom Blemany (Cooper Temple Clause) is a fan and has remixed them and has made them sound punk top futuristic. Midimidis are taking the UK punk underground by storm. Current faves of The Session on BBC Berkshire.
The Good Natured
Fronted by 17 year old genius Sarah. Causing minor ripples in London, already. Confirms Kate Nash got lucky.

So there it is...the revolution won't be televised (although who knows someone might get some phone clips on YouTube) but it will take place every last Friday of the month at the only true punk rock venue - the Rising Sun Arts Centre. The Revolution starts at 8pm.
Only a fiver on the door or four quid with a flyer. Say NO to free gigs-it devalues punk rock.
